One of the my biggest decision of 2015, probably of ever, is to start blogging and told the world about it. Bear and Berries has brought me so much joy and fun in the past months, and I know that I'll continue this journey in 2016. There are a few things I'd love to improve and achieve in the new year. You guys- my readers are like my friends, so I think I'd share Bear and Berries' New Year resolution with you today.
I am one of those who is bad at planning things ahead, especially when it comes to gift purchase. Don't get me wrong, I love shopping, but when I need to buy something for other people, I'm lost and inevitably feel the anxiety of 'gosh what if she doesn't like it?!'. If you still haven't decided what to purchase for your girlfriend/ best friend/ sister/ mom, I get you covered today. Most of the products I selected here are universal, hope you find this guide helpful!
12 Days of Unique Beauty Review
I received a huge unexpected parcel at the end of November. It turned out to be my surprise birthday gift from my best friend Shan. It's the Feelunique's Beauty Calendar featuring 12 beauty products from hair band to eyeshadow palette. It's a perfect gift for someone who likes trying out new products and it's a great way to discover new brands!

Today I'm sharing with you my first holiday makeup look using mostly drugstore products. The focus of this look is the eyes, I used reddish brown and green shades to create this smoky eyes and added a pair of fake lashes for a more festive look. Since the eyes are pretty dramatic already, I only used subtle highlighter and contour powder on cheeks. For lips I decided to go neutral, using my trusty Rimmel lipliner in Eastend Snob.
Nars One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette
I am usually not an impulsive buyer when it comes to makeup products, because I'd like to read some reviews and then decide if it suits me or not. This especially applies to high-end products because if I'm gonna splurge, I need to know that it worths all the pennies! However when I saw this limited edition cheek palette on SpaceNK's website, I'm sold.. Couldn't wait for the Black Friday sale, I rushed to the local Sephora and got this bad boy the next day.
I have heard so much great things about Nars blushers, but every time standing in front of the counter I'm so overwhelmed by all the shades and end up not able to make a decision.. One Shocking Moment is a great palette for trying out multiple shades at once. It consists of a contour blush duo; Laguna bronzer as well as four beautiful blushes.
HOHOHO! Christmas is right around the corner!
When I was shopping for Christmas the other day I came across this gorgeous YSL gift set, but since I already own the Touche Éclat pen, there is no excuse to buy this set for myself. So I thought, why don't I share this with you? Just like that, here we have a spontaneous Xmas giveaway!
This giveaway opens internationally!

One of the benefits (besides the beautiful weather) of moving to Spain is its large collection of beauty and fashion brands compare to Sweden. So for the first few weeks here I went a bit out of control when I saw all those brands that I've only heard about and splurged
Today I'm sharing with you what I got from my most exciting 'find' here - Kiko Cosmetics!
If you're a regular reader of Bear& Berries, you'd known that I am a skincare enthusiast. Makeup can be magical most of the time, it conceals the redness, evens the skin tone, and hide those imperfections. However, I still see skincare as the most important step of my daily beauty routine (if that's a thing). There is nothing nicer than a clean, smooth base, glow within is more beautiful than any highlighters.

With colder days approaching, my makeup bag has been switched up along with my closet. Dewier foundation; slightly smokier eyes; and of course - the autumn lipsticks.
Autumn lip colours to me are not only plummy and berry shades, not only that bold dark lips, my essentials also include a mauvey-nude, and a true red. Today I am sharing with you my favourite lip colours for autumn, including my all time favourite drug-store lip products.
Date night makeup look can be tricky. You want to look sophisticated, a bit flirty, and kinda sexy. However you don't want to look like you've spent the whole afternoon in front of the mirror putting makeup on. Today I'm gonna share with you my favourite 'effortless' makeup look for a date night. (All product used are listed at the end of the post)
I've been obsessed with Instagram lately, probably thanks to my new camera ;). Updating Instagram is much easier than writing up a new blog post, so I thought I'd share the recent contents on my Instagram feed with you in this post!
If you like what you're seeing, come say hi on Instagram! I'm over at https://instagram.com/bear_and_berries.
1. Take a deep breath, it's finally weekend!
2. Blog post- What's in my makeup bag? My makeup routine has been pretty stable so I thought I'd share with you the products I've been loving.
3. My first attempt to video swatching. Kiko's bronzer, Nars setting powder and Lancôme blusher were swatched in the video. Trying to fit all three of them into 15 seconds is not easy!
4. I've been loving this top from Brandy Melville, it's so comfy and can looks good with anything!
5. New in: Kiko's bronzer and Inglot's contouring powder. I've heard both brands for so long, now finally get the chance to try them out!
6. OOTD. Love the grumpy cutie print on the top!
7. A super simple yet healthy soup idea. Millets, lump sugar and pumpkin.
8. OOTD. "No Bullshit", yep!
9. Bus trip to Cadaqués. It is a stunning town, beautiful beaches and lovely architectural style.
I use a small makeup bag to hold all my daily essentials and rotate the products from my collection drawer regularly. Recently I have been using the same selection of products and really enjoying them. So I thought why don't I share them with you? Plus who doesn't like peeking into other girl's makeup bag? :p
Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro 501 Casual Pink
There is finally a hint of autumn in Spain, and I think I have already found THE autumn lip colour!
Giorgio Lip Maestro Intense Velvet Lip Color in 501 Casual Pink (link) has a minimal yet sleek packaging. It retails for €31/ $36, definitely a naughty luxury purchase. I thought 'ouch' when I saw the price tag, despite my enthusiasm for makeup I'm still at a student budget. But later when I tried it on my lips I was totally sold. It Has To Be Mine!
Ok it's time to confess. I've grown an addiction to Instagram recently. I know, I know, I'm really late in this but better late than never right? I've been experimenting with my new best friend- Canon 60D, where would be a better place to share photographs than Instagram? ;) I have also discovered several amazing photo editing apps, but that's for another day.
There are enormous amount of creative and talented instagramers, here are my current 10 favourite of them.
Finally Sephora opened in Gothenburg! This means a lot for beauty junkies around the area because sooo many new brands are available now: Make Up Forever, Too Faced, Benefit, Marc Jacobs and etc... But to be honest I'm most excited about NARS, I literally squeaked when I saw its counter the first time XD! Anyways, put the excitement aside for a sec, let's have a look at what I got there.
I've gone through half of the bottle now, at the beginning it almost fell into my "products that I regret buying" stash, but now it's safe to claim that it is my all time favourite facial cleanser ;)
If you've read my Most Repurchased Skin Care Products post, you'd know that I'm really really serious about facial cleansing. I used to cleanse my face with three steps:
1. Take off eyes and lips makeup with makeup remover.
2. Cleanse with facial wash.
3. Double cleanse either with a gentle foaming facial wash or Bioderma.
(Not bragging here, but) sometimes people ask me how do I take care of my skin, the simple answer is to take skin protection and cleansing seriously. If you are interested, I wrote about some of my favourite cleansing product on this post. Skin protection includes various aspects: air pollution, UV, chemical products and etc, out of these UV light is probably the priority in summer.
I believe that skin care deserves as much attention as makeup, if not more. A good base saves a lot of energy and money to cover imperfections. So today I'm sharing with you my most loved and repurchased skin care products, hope you'll find something useful!
Before we start, I'd like to point out that my skin type is normal to dry, it occasionally gets shiny during warmer days. Also the environment I live in, Sweden, is pretty cool, so my main concern is hydration and radiance.
Not so long ago I stumbled upon an amazing free widget for blogger/wordpress, Linkwithin. It automatically generate related stories after each posts. It is a great way to catch reader's attention and boost traffic! It's super easy to install and no sign-up is needed, so if you haven't heard of it, I highly recommend it.
However, there is limitations to Linkwithin..
So you went to bed at 3am because you just have to catch up with Orange is the New Black, or any other show you're addicted to. But we all want to look fresh and awake in the morning right? Today I'm gonna share with you my secret weapon to fake a 9 hours sleep. Our goal is natural, dewy and energetic.
